Costa Cruises Invests in Savona Expansion of Cruise Terminal

In Seatrade insider and Cruise Industry News it was recently reported that Costa Cruises will indeed spend 9million Euros on expanding the Savona Palacrociere Cruise Terminal to transfer through an estimated 900,000 passengers for 220 cruises set to sail out of Savona for 2012.

Naturally, this creates more room, smoother operations and a positive experience for those waiting to board their ships.  There is no question with cruise lines today that they should be spending on the infrastructure of the ports they call 'Home Port' or to offer assistance to various ports-of-call; these are positive moves to go forward.  After all, these large ships are bringing in record number of passengers to participate at these destinations, helping to make it a better experience for them, as well as, making logistics for the cruise line stronger and faster is what will help create the success needed to keep people coming back.
