NCL plan to deploy the Norwegian Bliss to China

It has been well reported within the Cruise Industry that China will become the second largest source market to North America by 2017. This may perhaps be overstated as it fails to consider the growth in Europe, especially Germany and the UK.

However, suffice to say the Chinese market is growing rapidly and is fuelled by Costa Cruises, Royal Caribbean and C Trip.

Enter Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH), whereby in a statement to investors Wells Fargo Securities suggested that the Norwegian Bliss will be the first of potentially multiple HCLH ships to be deployed to China.

Moreover, the Wells Fargo analyst namely Tim Conder reportedly indicated that NCLH will soon update its China strategy.

Apart from the Bliss. there are opportunities for both Oceania and Regent in China, however this is likely to originate from mainly North American passengers.
