The recent Seatrade Middle East Cruise Forum held at the Rosewood Hotel Abu Dhabi (Al Maryah Island) from 9-11 December 2013 was better attended than previous Cruise events in the region and clearly there was a highly positive atmosphere towards developing Cruise Industry activities from all that attended.
In fact by all accounts, the forum was a great success, attracting 187 delegates to attend from 11 different countries overall, generating transparent and sincere discussion with respect the Cruise Ship Industry mostly within the Arabian Gulf.
The Forum featured enlightening information pertaining to significant Port plans for expansion, which is expected to empower growth in the region for the "Winter Cruise its share Market sector".
One interesting speech by Grant Holmes, CEO of Progress International FZC called for a Regional Alliance, which is a topic that resonated with all Arabian Gulf destinations. A copy of the speech as be viewed below:
