Experience Australia Day in the Heart of Sydney Harbour with P and O Cruises

Pacific DawnPress Release

P&O Cruises’ passengers will have front row seats to all the action on Australia Day next year as Pacific Pearl anchors in Sydney Harbour during a special short break cruise.

Ann Sherry CEO of Carnival Australia, which operates P&O Cruises, said it was fitting that P&O Cruises shared in the 2013 Australia Day celebrations given its proud 80-year history in Australia.

“We had an amazing response to P&O Cruises’ inaugural Australia Day cruise on Pacific Sun this year, and we anticipate demand will be equally as strong for next year’s Australia Day cruise” she said.

Pacific Pearl will begin her patriotic three-night cruise on January 25, 2013, sailing out through Sydney’s heads before returning to anchor at Athol Buoy, near Mosman, on January 26 for the Australia Day celebrations.

Draped in giant Australian flags, the biggest ever displayed on the harbour, Pacific Pearl guests will wake to a panoramic view of Sydney Harbour and a day of fun festivities, before the ship sails to Sydney’s Darling Harbour to take up prime position for the evening fireworks.

Fares for the short break start from $504* per person quad share, and include accommodation, main meals, onboard entertainment and activities. As an added bonus, a $50 cashback is available per cabin for bookings until August 31.
