| Derek Reisfield: Great-Nephew of Greta Garbo |
Derek Reisfield is the great-nephew of legendary Hollywood film star Greta Garbo and producer of an award-winning documentary about his famous relative. Drawing from his weekly childhood visits with Garbo, Reisfield will provide a personal account of her life, her film career and her place as a cultural icon. Topics will include a look into her personal relationships with dignitaries and celebrities, and her lesser-known historical contributions to American and British military intelligence during World War II. As part of this special Cunard Insights programme, Cunard has partnered with famed auction house Julien's Auctions of Beverly Hills, California, to have select items from Garbo's estate available exclusively for auction to guests on this Transatlantic Crossing. In addition, several of her travel-themed effects, to be included in the general auction later in December, will be on prominent display on board for guests to view throughout the voyage.
