Passengers Take Legal Action Six Years After Disastrous Cruise

Cruise Critic's Contributor, Sue Bryant, brings up several interesting directions in the current and new law suit against a cruise lines from Passengers who are taking legal action a few years after the event of rough weather during a Transatlantic Cruise.   Points taken are the extend of the damages, the years that have past, the ability to find those involved in this issue and being able to get all the facts to compare with ship's records and the passenger's account . . .

"British passengers are suing a cruise line for injuries they sustained during a stormy Atlantic crossing – a full six years after the event.

The ill-fated cruise took place on the British-Australian owned Classic International Cruises' 580-passenger Athena in September 2006, during a 24-day voyage to New York, New England and Canada. One passenger died after falling down a flight of stairs and some 17 sustained injuries as the ship pitched and rolled."
