Chatsworth, CA - (Aug. 2, 2012) - This past Sunday AmaWaterways took part in the California Spirit XXIII, Southern California's largest gala fundraiser, benefiting the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving research, education, prevention and free patient services programs. The event, which was held at the Pacific Design Center and accompanied by the most renowned restaurants and chefs, wines from California's premier wineries, and spectacular live and silent auction items; included one of the largest giveaway’s for a seven-night luxury European river cruise provided by AmaWaterways to help raise money for the event.
“We were honored and delighted to be involved in such a great cause,” said Rob Rothmann Vice President of Marketing at AmaWaterways. “To help raise money for a disease that affects so many people was gratifying, but to actually be in attendance and speak with some of the members of an organization that plays such a huge roll in helping families, colleagues and loved ones suffering or affected by cancer was truly the highlight of the evening. “
For the 28th consecutive year, California Spirit came together to raise money for the American Cancer Society, and it was anything short or successful. The event was filled with an evening of gourmet food and wine, beautifully displayed auction items and shared stories among tables about their heartfelt reasons for participating and giving back to such a great cause.
