Cruise & Maritime Voyages secures a long term charter the MS Azores Cruise ship

British based Cruise & Maritime Voyages has just secured the 550 PAX capacity and 16,144-ton ship called the MS Azores to its fleet for 2015.

The well known Azores ship will be chartered from the Lisbon based Portuscale Cruises for a long-term Charter and will replace another long-term Charter run by the MV Discovery.

The Azores is a strictly adults-only (meaning the minimum age is 16) vessel and Cruise & Maritime Voyages will operate cruises from a U.K. base. The first itinerary is earmarked to be a Caribbean cruise of 30 nights sailing on the 26th January, 2015.

The fascinating feature of the Azores is that of the ship's 277 cabins, a massive 85% are classed as "Oceanview," and there are 9 suites with balconies. Oceaview cabins always sell at a premium, hence this would  seem to be a scoop for Cruise & Maritime Voyages.
