British teenage icon Tom Daley was caught on camera by design on board the Allure of the Seas escaping from mass the Media attention caused by his recent announcement. The picture above shows him taking on the high boards and help kick off Royal Caribbean’s
"Caribbean Cup".
The new Caribbean program was designed to promote Royal Caribbean’s latest schedule of exciting Caribbean sailings.
Tom Daley is the star of a diving show "Splash" on the British channel ITV, along with Australian swimmer Ian Thorpe and American gymnast Gabby Douglas. They all took part in a variety of athletic challenges including but not limited to:
- Surfing
- Rock climbing
- Dodgeball
All of this activity took place on board the Allure of the Seas, the world’s largest Cruise Ship. Clearly, as the Caribbean is now saturated with Cruise vessels, Royal Caribbean are creatively launching this Celebrity Splash aimed at focussing Cruisers on glamour and sports, rather than the Caribbean as a destination itself.
