Having attended the Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum, Dubai Cruise Tourism and dnata (Emirates Group) has teamed up with Progress International to attract Cruise Lines into the Gulf area presenting a new concept, the Gulf Cruise Alliance (GCA).

GCA is a marketing synergy between the key Ports within the Gulf region that share the same service standards, vision and values. Other Ports in discussion with the GCA are Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Ports of Sharjah and Ports of Oman. While still in the early stages, the GCA plans to formalize the concept within 2013.

Thereafter, Mr. Holmes will present a Cruise Workshop which is expected to be the catalyst of change to put Qatar on the map of the Cruise Industry and within the GCA.
