Passengers on Stricken Cruise Ship Turn Hostile

The Baltic
May 17, 2011 — It is being reported that some 1,700 passengers aboard a disabled cruise ship in the Baltic Sea nearly mutinied and revolted over the weekend as they dealt with no electricity, nearly no food and inoperable toilets. The MSC Opera lost power and propulsion Saturday, and was finally towed to a port in Sweden yesterday. The Daily Mail reports travelers say the captain opened the bar for them in order to calm down the situation.
