Hapag-Lloyd Offers New All-Inclusive Package on Columbus

Starting in 2011, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is offering a new price structure for its premium ship, the Columbus. With the all-inclusive package, all 81 drinks on the beverages list, all tips on board, and a package of two to four shore excursions per cruise are included in the price. The all-inclusive package can be booked as an option in addition to the regular price of the cruise. Moving forward, all Columbus cruises will include a cruise-only rate, as well as a rate for the package. The package price depends on the length of the cruise and the destinations, and will start at $340 per person, per cruise, on the international cruises in 2011.

Another new feature is the introduction of two price categories: a guaranteed price for a two-berth inside cabin and new prices for single occupancy of an inside cabin. As an example, the 13-day Sept. 5-18, 2011, cruise from Toronto to Chicago includes three shore excursions -- Powwow in M’Chigeeng, city tour of Duluth, and a visit to the Sleeping Bear Dunes.
