German rock musician Udo Lindenberg is to undertake three ‘rock cruises’ aboard the TUI operated cruise ship Mein Schiff (ex Galaxy). Instead of Captain’s Dinners and strict dress codes there will be rock concerts and trips to ‘the original locations of our beloved rock ’n’ roll music,’ as Lindenberg puts it. The ship’s cinema will show classic gigs with Jimi Hendrix or The Beatles, while would-be rock stars can attend guitar workshops.
The first cruise aboard the 1,948 passenger capacity Mein Schiff will be from London, a five day voyage between 4-9 May 2010, followed by cruises to Liverpool and St. Petersburg.
